Arsenal SAM5 5.56 NATO Milled AK-Pattern Rifle – 16.34 in Barrel, Plum Polymer Furniture, Side Rail, Threaded 14x1 mm LH
This Bulgarian-made Arsenal SAM5 stands out with its milled receiver, 5.56 NATO chambering, and original Arsenal "Circle 10" proof mark. It features plum polymer furniture with a "US" marking on the lower handguard, a left-side AK optics/accessory rail, and Arsenal – Las Vegas, NV import marking. A matching assembly number on the top cover adds to its completeness.
Built around a milled (hammer-forged per manual) receiver, the rifle pairs a 16.34-inch barrel with a hard-chrome plated bore and a 1:7 twist. The muzzle is threaded 14x1 mm LH with a two-port muzzle brake installed, and a cleaning rod is present under the barrel.
The long-stroke piston, rotating-bolt action is complemented by a 90° gas block and adjustable iron sights, including a hooded front post and an adjustable tangent rear sight graduated to 500 meters. Controls include a manual safety lever with "S" and "F" selector markings.
Dimensions and handling are practical and well-balanced: 36.5 inches overall length, a 13.25-inch length of pull, and an unloaded weight of 7.98 lb (without magazine). Capacity is 30+1 in 5.56 NATO. The rifle wears a matte black finish and ribbed polymer handguards.

The SAM5’s milled receiver and Bulgarian production deliver a solid foundation, with the Arsenal "Circle 10" proof and importer stamp providing clear provenance. Plum polymer furniture gives it a distinctive, period-correct look supported by the "US" marking on the lower handguard.
The barrel’s hard-chrome plated bore and 1:7 twist are purpose-built for 5.56 NATO, while the threaded 14x1 mm LH muzzle with a two-port brake offers effective recoil management and common AK-pattern compatibility. The 90° gas block and long-stroke piston system reflect Arsenal’s established design approach.
Sight regulation is straightforward via the hooded front post and a tangent rear sight adjustable to 500 meters. Controls are traditional and intuitive, including the manual safety lever with "S" and "F" selector markings, and a left-side AK optics/accessory rail expands mounting options for compatible side-rail accessories.
With a 36.5-inch overall length, 13.25-inch length of pull, and 7.98-pound unloaded weight (without magazine), the rifle balances well. Capacity is 30+1, and a matching assembly number on the top cover underscores attention to detail.
