This Rock Island Armory TAC Ultra MS HC is a factory two-caliber combo configured for 9mm Luger and .22 TCM9R. It pairs a compact, Commander-length 4.25-inch barrel with a high-capacity A2 double-stack frame and includes the additional .22 TCM9R barrel and recoil spring. Built on a 1911 platform with steel construction and practical sights, it offers a versatile setup in a durable, Parkerized package.
The TAC Ultra MS HC uses a 4140 ordnance-steel slide and frame with a Parkerized finish. It features a standard GI-style short guide rod with a closed recoil spring plug and an integral Picatinny-style accessory rail with two cross-slots for mounting a light or other compatible accessory. Unloaded weight is approximately 44 oz, providing a steady, controllable feel.
Sighting is fast and precise thanks to a bright orange fiber-optic front paired with a fully adjustable rear. The slide has rear cocking serrations, and controls include both a grip safety and a thumb safety. A skeletonized, three-hole, lightened trigger and a skeletonized hammer complement the textured synthetic grips with a diagonal traction pattern.
Caliber changes are designed to be straightforward: swap only the barrel and recoil spring to run either 9mm Luger or .22 TCM9R, and the included high-capacity magazine serves both cartridges. Markings include “M1911 A2 MS - TACT.” on the frame, “CAL 9MM” on the barrel hood, and the Rock Island Armory crest on the slide. It is imported by Armscor Precision International in Pahrump, NV, and made in the Philippines (SKU 56632).

Bore Rifling: Excellent Rifling - Sharp lands and grooves.
