The PMR-30 uses a self-regulating, single-action hybrid blowback/locked-breech system tailored to the .22 WMR pressure range. Captive dual recoil springs with a polymer buffer and a dual extractor system support reliable cycling and extraction of rimfire ammunition.
Construction features include an internal aluminum receiver, a hardened steel barrel and hard-anodized aluminum slide, and a glass-reinforced nylon grip/slide cover with Kel-Tec square texturing. The slide cover is secured with Torx/hex screws, and the pistol is finished in black.
Sighting is fast and high-visibility with a green fiber-optic front and an orange dual fiber-optic rear, with the rear fixed and integrated into the slide cover. Controls include an ambidextrous thumb safety and a sear-blocking safety, plus a heel-type magazine release.
Dimensionally, it is a full-size pistol with a 4.3 in barrel, 7.9 in overall length, and approximately 14 oz unloaded weight. Capacity is 30+1 with the included flush-fit magazine. An integral Picatinny accessory rail is molded into the dust cover. The serial number plate is located at the rear of the pistol. Made in the USA.
