The Blackwater Special Edition adds distinctive branding, including the paw logo on the slide and Blackwater medallions in the dark laminated wood grips with pebble-texture inlays. This limited run (circa 2006–2010) is recognized among P226 variants for its unique factory configuration and markings.
Construction and markings are correct for the series: an aluminum alloy frame with black hard-coat anodizing and a stainless slide with a black finish, marked "SIG SAUER P226 STAINLESS." The barrel hood is marked "9mm Para." The frame is marked "FRAME MADE IN GERMANY" with import marking "SIGARMS INC. EXETER NH."
Operational features include traditional DA/SA with a decocking lever, an exposed spurred hammer, and a reversible magazine release. The slide uses an external extractor and has front and rear serrations for positive manipulation. An integral dust-cover rail with four slots provides mounting space for accessories.
Sight setup is a fixed 3-dot system with a single front dot and two-dot rear. Capacity is 15+1 with the included 15-round Mec-Gar steel magazines. The factory case label "E26R-9-BLACKWATER" matches the pistol’s model designation.
