This G36 Gen 3 uses Glock's slim, single-stack .45 ACP design: 6+1 capacity in a subcompact footprint. It measures 6.97 in overall length with a 3.78 in barrel, 4.72 in height, and 1.18 in overall width (1.00 in slide width). Unloaded weight with an empty magazine is 22.40 oz.
The cold-hammer forged barrel features polygonal rifling with an octagonal profile and a 1:15.75 RH twist. The slide wears Glock's nitrided Tenifer finish. The frame is polymer, Gen3 pattern with finger grooves and no accessory rail.
Sight setup is fixed steel: a front post with single white dot (code AY2) and a rear notch with white outline (code AG). Sight radius is 5.87 in. The slide includes an external extractor and rear-only serrations.
The pistol is striker-fired with a single-side magazine release and Glock's integrated safeties: trigger safety, firing pin safety, and drop safety. Notably, the G36 was Glock's first single-stack pistol, and its slide profile later influenced the Glock 30S.
Markings include "MADE IN AUSTRIA GLOCK, INC., SMYRNA, GA." The gun also features an installed aftermarket textured adhesive grip wrap for added traction.
