The Rough Rider operates in single-action only with a spurred hammer and a manual hammer-block safety. Loading is through the right-side gate, and case removal is handled by the standard ejector rod.
Construction centers on a 1215 steel barrel and a steel, fluted six-shot cylinder, paired with a Zamak-5 alloy frame and receiver. The barrel, cylinder, frame, and receiver wear a black oxide finish, while the hammer and trigger are left bright, and the revolver is fitted with two-piece checkered wood grip panels.
The 4.75 in barrel and fixed-sight arrangement use a front blade and a top-strap groove rear, delivering a simple, durable sight picture. A push-button base-pin latch secures the cylinder assembly.
This RR22B4 model is chambered in .22 LR and also supports an optional .22 WMR cylinder for added versatility (not included). It is manufactured in the United States and carries an MSRP of $169.99.
