The M1A SOCOM 16 CQB uses the proven M14 platform with a semi-automatic, gas-operated, rotating-bolt action. The barreled action and receiver are carbon steel with a non-reflective black Parkerized finish, and the barrel is rollmarked .308. It accepts M14-pattern detachable box magazines and ships here with a 10-round steel magazine for a 10+1 capacity.
Its 16.25-inch barrel is paired with a SOCOM multi-port brake to help manage muzzle movement. A 1:11 RH twist supports a broad range of .308 Win loads, and the compact profile keeps handling nimble while maintaining the M1A’s robust operating system.
The rifle features a forward barrel-mounted Picatinny scout rail for mounting accessories. Iron sights include an XS tritium front post set in a wing-protected tower on the gas lock and a fully adjustable aperture (ghost ring) rear sight with windage and elevation knobs.
The Archangel USA-marked polymer CQB chassis provides modern ergonomics, including a telescoping stock with an approximate 11–14 inch length of pull and a pistol grip. The Archangel CQB fore-end features an integral bottom Picatinny rail and accepts bolt-on side rail sections, offering attachment points for accessories while keeping weight centered for practical handling.
