The rifle is built on the AR-15 platform with a semi-automatic, direct-impingement action. It uses a 16-inch barrel with a threaded muzzle and comes fitted with a multi-port muzzle brake/compensator. Capacity is stated at 20+1, and the package includes two 20-round magazines.
A custom gray/black camo refinish is applied to the receiver and furniture for a uniform, modern appearance. The Magpul CTR collapsible stock provides an approximate 10.5–13.8 inch length of pull. An A2-type polymer pistol grip and a free-float aluminum tubular handguard with elongated slots complete the furniture set.
The flat-top upper includes an integral Picatinny rail, and the receiver features a forward assist, case deflector, and ejection-port cover. There is no fixed front sight base visible, giving an unobstructed top rail. Controls include a manual safety, standard charging handle, and standard magazine release.
Receiver markings include "DTI-15 CAL 5.56 MM." The right side additionally shows "MG ARMS SPRING TX. U.S.A." The receiver is alloy construction, and the rifle is made in the United States.
