The Carry R3 configuration pairs a compact 3.9-inch P220 slide with a full-size grip, delivering the classic single-stack .45 ACP format with an 8+1 capacity. Size is designated compact, with a profile suited to the shorter slide and full-length frame.
Construction is a steel slide over an alloy frame finished in matte black. Operation is DA/SA with a curved, solid trigger, an exposed spur hammer, and SIG’s decocking lever. Safety features include the decocker and an internal firing-pin safety. Controls are the classic left-side layout: slide catch, decocking lever, and takedown lever.
Sights are fixed, dovetailed, using a ramped, dovetailed front and a square-notch, dovetailed rear. The slide carries rear serrations for a positive grasp.
The dustcover integrates a three-slot Picatinny-style accessory rail. Grip panels are textured black polymer with molded SIG SAUER and P220 logos, providing a secure, consistent hold.
