Purpose-built for the .17 WSM cartridge, this B.MAG features a 22-inch heavy-profile, unfluted stainless barrel with a recessed crown and a 1:8 twist. The matte stainless barrel and matte silver receiver present a clean, low-glare finish suited to the rifle's target-focused configuration.
The Target Thumbhole variant uses a Boyds laminated hardwood stock with a gray laminate finish. It is right-hand configured and includes a thumbhole grip, palm swell, beavertail and vented forend, and a rubber recoil pad. Length of pull measures 13.75 inches, and a rear sling swivel stud is installed.
The user-adjustable Savage AccuTrigger incorporates a trigger safety blade and can be set to approximately 2.5–6 lb. A manual rear slider safety with a red indicator provides clear status. The action is bolt-operated with a cock-on-close design, and Savage's thread-in headspacing system is employed. Feeding is via an 8-round detachable rotary magazine for a total capacity of 8+1.
This rifle is set up for optics with 1-inch scope rings installed and no factory iron sights. Overall length is about 40.25 inches, and weight is about 6.1 lb. Made in the USA.
