What's Included
- Browning Invector screw-in choke tubes (one marked Full, one marked '6' that gauges as Modified)
- Factory Browning cardboard box with BT-99 'Single Barrel Trap Special' label
The BT-99 Special is a top-lever, single-shot trap shotgun designed without a manual safety and a 1-round capacity. Its PY serial year code denotes 1982 production, and the barrel is roll-marked on the left side under the rib with Browning Arms Company Morgan, Utah & Montreal P.Q., Made in Japan. The factory box label confirms the Special variant.
The 34 inch barrel is fitted with a floating, vented rib that has a matte, serrated surface for glare reduction. Twin-bead sights provide a clear sighting plane, with a white front bead and a mid bead. The barrel is threaded for Browning Invector choke tubes; included are a Full tube and a tube marked '6' that measures as Modified with a choke gauge.
The walnut stock is configured for trap with an adjustable comb (likely an aftermarket installation), checkering, and a recoil pad for a steady mount. The beavertail forearm offers ample purchase and heat dissipation. Length of pull measures 14.0 inches, and the cast and grip are neutral.
Attention to finish and detail stands out on this Special. The receiver is satin silver steel with factory engraving, including a Browning Buckmark in gold on the trigger guard and 'BROWNING' on the receiver belly. The barrel wears a traditional blued finish, and the gun retains its single trigger configuration suited to trap use. It accepts standard Browning Invector interchangeable choke tubes for straightforward pattern tuning.
