Product Description

    H&R Premier First Model .32 S&W Top-Break Revolver, 3 inch Barrel, Nickel, c. 1895-1904

This Harrington & Richardson Premier First Model is a classic five-shot, double-action/single-action top-break revolver chambered in .32 S&W. Built circa 1895-1904, it features a nickel-plated steel frame, a 3 inch barrel with a full-length top rib, and checkered black hard rubber grips with H&R target medallions. It shows the hallmark First Model traits that interest collectors, including the top-rib address and patent dates and the absence of left-side barrel markings.

    Condition

    Overall Condition: Poor condition.

Bore Condition: Fair - Generally clean, some residue or smudges, slight corrosion.

Bore Rifling: Fair Rifling - Worn rifling, slight loss of definition.

Specific Condition Notes: The breech does not lock, and the action will break open when the hammer is cocked to the rear. The revolver is currently inoperable and must be repaired by a qualified gunsmith prior to attempting to fire. Gunsmith special sold as is.

    What’s Included

    • Harrington & Richardson Premier First Model .32 S&W revolver

The Premier First Model combines compact dimensions with the convenience of a top-break design and an automatic star ejector. The latch is positioned ahead of the hammer, allowing quick opening and positive ejection of spent cases.

Its sighting setup is period-correct and straightforward: a half-moon front blade and a fixed rear notch integrated into the top-strap latch. The 3 inch steel barrel carries a full-length top rib with the address and patent dates typical of the First Model, with no markings on the left side of the barrel.

The nickel-plated steel frame and matching nickel cylinder are paired with checkered black hard rubber grips bearing H&R target medallions. The five-shot fluted cylinder maintains the compact profile associated with this .32 S&W platform.

Manufactured in the United States, this example aligns with features expected of the Premier First Model series from the late 19th to early 20th century. The serial number location is observed on the barrel extension/top-strap area, consistent with the model.
