The 4.0C Comp configuration uses a hammer-forged 4 in. barrel with an integral compensator and a single top port. The front sight is positioned behind the comp for a clear sight picture. Both barrel and slide wear a durable Melonite/nitride finish.
The slide is optics cut and VIS direct-mount compatible, allowing direct mounting for multiple footprints. An optic cover plate is installed from the factory, and this pistol includes the VIS screw kit 1A for RMR/SRO pattern use.
A serialized stainless-steel Central Operating Group (COG) chassis serves as the receiver, enabling modular grip-module swaps. The polymer grip frame includes interchangeable backstraps for fit tuning, with two extra backstraps included.
Controls are fully ambidextrous. The accessory rail features four cross-slots for mounting lights or other rail-compatible accessories. The pistol ships with one 18-round and three 15-round factory steel double-stack magazines, providing 18+1 capacity with the extended option.
Sight setup is Springfield’s U-Dot system: a tritium/luminescent front dot with green ring and a steel U-notch rear. Markings include “HS PRODUKT MADE IN CROATIA” on the frame and “9x19” on the barrel hood; the pistol is manufactured by HS Produkt (Croatia) and imported/marketed by Springfield Armory.
