Built on Winchester's pre-64 controlled-round-feed action, this rifle uses a full-length Mauser-type claw extractor and a coned breech for reliable feeding and positive extraction. It also features a bolt-mounted manual safety, a polished bolt body, and the classic dog-leg bolt handle with round knob. The internal box magazine with hinged floorplate provides a 4+1 capacity.
The 24-inch steel barrel is a standard-weight profile. Sighting elements include a ramped front sight and a rear barrel sight dovetail filled with a blank. The receiver is drilled and tapped.
A Realist 6X riflescope is installed, offering a German 3-post/fine crosshair reticle for a clear, uncluttered view. The optic is mounted on a two-piece scope base with horizontally split rings for secure, straightforward attachment.
The walnut stock has a straight comb, cut point-pattern checkering, and inletted fixed sling swivel loops (Winchester sling eyes). A checkered steel widow's-peak buttplate completes the classic configuration. Length of pull is 13.5 inches. The barreled action and bottom metal are finished in blued steel.
This Standard Rifle configuration reflects the postwar pre-64 pattern with walnut and steel construction, controlled-round-feed operation, and a drilled-and-tapped receiver, enhanced here by the installed Realist 6X optic.
