The P322 is a recent-release, U.S.-made, blowback-operated, single-action, hammer-fired .22 LR pistol designed for high-capacity rimfire shooting. Factory specs list an unloaded weight of approximately 17.1 oz, and this model uses standard 20-round magazines for the series.
Construction details include a polymer grip module over an internal stainless-steel chassis, paired with an aluminum-alloy slide finished in hard-coat anodize and a pinned steel breech block. The slide wears front and rear serrations and a matte black finish for low glare. Note: some SIG packaging may list "Nitron, BLK" as a color descriptor across models, but Nitron applies to steel; this aluminum slide is hard-coat anodized black.
Controls are fully ambidextrous, with a manual safety and slide stop accessible from either side. A flat-faced trigger comes installed, and this package adds a spare trigger shoe. An integral accessory rail with four slots is built into the dust cover for mounting compatible lights or accessories.
Sighting equipment consists of a fiber-optic front and an adjustable fiber-optic rear. The removable rear-sight plate allows direct mounting of a micro red-dot, giving the P322 a straightforward path to a modern, optics-equipped setup.
