Colt Government Model Super .38 (Pre-Series 70) .38 Super, 5 inch, 1948, 1911 with INTERARMS Mark, 2 Mags
This 1948 Colt Government Model Super .38 is a postwar, pre-Series 70 commercial pistol built on the full-size M1911A1 pattern. It features carbon-steel construction, GI-style fixed sights, and classic 1911 controls without a Series 80 firing-pin block. An INTERARMS import mark on the front strap documents overseas commercial service followed by U.S. re-import, adding clear, verifiable provenance. The bore is excellent, and two period-appropriate 9-round magazines are included.
