This Colt Government Model Series 70 Limited Edition (O1911SE-A1) was professionally upgraded by Nighthawk Custom and finished in DLC black. It combines the factory SE1-prefix limited-edition Colt base with a Nighthawk match-grade barrel, tightened slide-to-frame fit on the NHC rail chassis, and a tuned trigger. The pistol retains Series 70 configuration without a firing-pin block and comes with documentation, original Colt parts, multiple grip sets, and the factory case.

Factory foundation is the Colt Government Model Series 70 Limited Edition, identified by its O1911SE-A1 designation, SE1-prefix serial range, and a slide marked 'LIMITED EDITION'. It retains the Series 70 configuration without a firing-pin block and uses a 5.0 in Government-length barrel with a standard bushing and GI recoil system. Capacity is 8+1 in .45 ACP on a steel frame.
Nighthawk Custom upgraded the pistol with a match-grade, non-ramped barrel and a precisely fitted bushing. The slide-to-frame fit was tightened on Nighthawk’s rail chassis system, and a reliability package was performed. The pistol was dehorned for carry, and it features a checkered front strap and a flat, checkered Nighthawk mainspring housing for secure handling.
The fire-control system includes a medium-length, serrated aluminum trigger tuned with a Nighthawk ignition set to a target pull of approximately 3.5–3.75 lb. A skeletonized commander-style hammer and a single-side GI-nub thumb safety complete the controls. The magazine release is checkered for positive operation.
Sighting is accomplished with a Heinie SlantPro black rear and a gold-bead front blade. Cosmetic and functional slide touches include a French border, arrow-style slide-top serrations, vertical rear cocking serrations, and a finely serrated rear of slide at 40 LPI. The slide and frame were finished in a DLC black coating over the original Colt blue; the barrel bushing and GI recoil spring plug are left in the white. The barrel hood is marked 'NHC-45ACP NM'.
The package includes the Colt factory blue case and manual, Nighthawk Custom build documentation and test target, original Colt take-off parts, and three sets of wood grips (Colt factory double-diamond with Colt medallions installed; Nighthawk Custom G173-M Cocobolo double-diamond medallion grips new in package; and an additional double-diamond wood set without medallions), along with one 8-round magazine.
