Chambered in .300 PRC, this Model 1500 uses a 24-inch standard/tapered steel barrel with a 1:8.5 twist to stabilize long, heavy projectiles. The receiver is drilled and tapped for scope bases, and the rifle is set up with an internal 3+1 box magazine and a floorplate bearing the Howa logo.
The action is built on a machined receiver and a forged bolt equipped with an M16-style extractor and a plunger ejector for reliable cycling. A three-position safety adds secure handling, and the two-stage HACT trigger provides a defined take-up with a clean break.
The Hogue OverMolded stock features a rigid internal skeleton cloaked in a rubber overmold for a secure, comfortable hold. Pillar bedding supports consistent barrel-to-action alignment, while the textured grip and forend, soft recoil pad, and sling swivel studs add practical field utility. Length of pull is 14.0 inches.
