It features a 30-inch vent-rib barrel with a fixed Full choke and a 2.75-inch chamber, paired with a light-alloy, blued receiver and richly checkered walnut furniture with a Monte Carlo comb.

The AL-series short-stroke, self-compensating gas system underpins this model and later A300-family designs, delivering the smooth cycling these guns are known for. It is configured with a 2.75-inch chamber and a 3+1 capacity.
The 30-inch barrel carries a ventilated, checkered anti-glare rib with a mid-bead and a red/orange front bead for clear sight alignment. A fixed Full choke provides a traditional, long-barrel setup favored for tighter patterns.
The blued, light-alloy receiver is factory engraved with scroll motifs and a Beretta crest. Controls include a right-side square bolt release, a cross-bolt safety with a red indicator, and a round charging handle. A gold-colored trigger completes the control set.
Stocking is classic walnut with diamond-point checkering, a pistol-grip profile, and a Monte Carlo comb. The butt is fitted with a brown ventilated recoil pad bearing a Beretta medallion and a black spacer, and the forend is matching walnut.
Markings include "P. BERETTA - GARDONE V.T." and "Mod. A L2 - 12 GAUGE" on the receiver, Italian proof marks with "PSF," and the import mark "THE GARCIA CORP., WASH., D.C." This configuration and import lineage place it among desirable AL-2 examples from the era.
