The Model 64A is a collectible variant produced in limited numbers during the early 1970s, with an estimated 8,250 units made. It retains the Model 94 action and classic lines while incorporating the Model 64 concept of a half-length tubular magazine paired with a longer barrel.
The 24-inch round barrel is cold-forged from Winchester Proof Steel and fitted with a ramped, hooded front sight. Top-eject operation and a 4+1 capacity support its traditional lever-gun configuration.
This rifle has been customized with a receiver-top aperture/peep rear sight. The original rear barrel sight has been removed and the dovetail neatly filled with a blank, yielding a clean barrel profile while preserving clear sighting from the receiver.
The walnut stock and forearm carry a satin finish with a pistol-grip profile, fluted comb, and smooth surfaces. The steel receiver and barrel wear a blued finish, with the receiver re-blued. The buttplate is embossed "Winchester Repeating Arms," and the length of pull measures 13.5 inches.
Made in the USA, this Model 64A combines a bright, mirror-finish bore and crisp rifling with the sought-after features of this short-run reissue.
