Marked "No. 54" for the Nebraska Safety Patrol, this rifle carries clear law-enforcement provenance that sets it apart from standard commercial examples. Factory markings include Winchester proof stamps and "WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL," with the tang plate marked "MODEL 07SL" and a barrel legend listing patent dates and "-351 CAL."
Chambered in .351 WSL, the Model 07SL uses a semi-automatic blowback action with a knurled rear cocking piece and right-side ejection. Capacity is 5+1, and the 19.5-inch steel barrel shows an excellent, mirror-bright bore with sharp rifling.
The rifle pairs blued steel with smooth walnut for both stock and fore-end, retaining the classic straight-comb profile. A rear sling swivel and a barrel band with an integral front sling loop provide sling mounting points. Length of pull measures 14.0 inches.
Iron sights consist of a blade front on a ramp and an elevator-adjustable rear leaf, offering a traditional and practical sight picture. The included detachable 5-round magazine supports the rifle’s intended .351 WSL cartridge.
