The XCR II variant of the Model 700 pairs a stainless steel receiver and 26-inch sporter-contour stainless barrel with a uniform matte gray finish. Chambered in .300 Remington Ultra Mag, it uses a long-action configuration and an internal box magazine with a 3+1 capacity and a hinged floorplate.
The synthetic stock is finished in black/gray with molded lighter gray textured grip panels for positive handling. It includes a pistol grip, two sling swivel studs for mounting a sling or bipod, and a Remington SuperCell recoil pad. Length of pull is 13.25 inches.
The action is a right-hand, bolt-action design with a two-position, right-side safety. The receiver is drilled and tapped from the factory, and this rifle arrives with one-piece 1-inch ringmounts already installed.
There are no iron sights on this rifle. Barrel markings include the factory roll-mark "REMINGTON ARMS COMPANY INC., ILION, NY 300 REM ULTRA MAG" and a "KH" barrel stamp, confirming chambering and production details.
