The SDP Compact’s construction centers on a steel slide over a hybrid alloy upper frame and a durable polymer grip shell, delivering a two-tone Black/FDE profile. The frame shows practical ergonomics, including an extended beavertail, an undercut trigger guard, and a textured frontstrap for consistent control.
Its operating system is DA/SA with a decocker and no manual safety. Control layout is well executed with true ambidextrous decocking and slide stop levers and a left-side magazine release. Interchangeable wrap-around grip/backstrap modules allow straightforward fit adjustment.
With a 3.7 in barrel and compact dimensions, this pistol is set up for balance and quick handling. Fixed, dovetailed sights consist of a front post and a rear notch. An integral 1913/Picatinny rail with four cross-slots supports common weaponlight and accessory mounting.
Capacity is 10+1 using factory Sphinx steel magazines marked "SPHINX" and "MADE IN ITALY," with witness holes numbered to 10. Markings include "SPHINX MADE IN SWITZERLAND" and the KRISS USA, Inc., Virginia Beach, VA import stamp. The platform follows the proven CZ-75–pattern design.
