The A-Bolt II action uses a three-lug bolt with a plunger ejector and small extractor (U.S. Patent 4,723,369), delivering a short, 60-degree bolt lift and positive ejection. A tang safety provides straightforward operation. The rifle features a hinged floorplate paired with a detachable box magazine, with a stated capacity of 4 rounds.
The 22-inch barrel is factory threaded and fitted with Browning’s BOSS system, combining a ported muzzle brake with a tunable harmonic damper. The receiver is drilled and tapped, with a front base installed and rear plug screws in place.
