    What's Included

    • Winchester Model 92 Carbine in .25-20 Win.
    • Tang-mounted adjustable aperture rear sight (installed)
    • Rear barrel sight dovetail plug/blank (installed)

Built in 1927, this Winchester Model 92 Carbine features a top-eject steel receiver with a right-side loading gate and a 20-inch round carbine barrel secured by two barrel bands. The full-length tubular magazine provides a 6+1 capacity in .25-20 Win., pairing classic carbine handling with a small-caliber chambering favored for light game and field use in its era.

The sighting arrangement is set up for precision: a tang-mounted adjustable aperture/peep rear sight paired with a fixed front sight. The original rear barrel sight has been removed and the dovetail neatly plugged, creating a clear sight picture that underscores its target sights configuration.

Stocked in straight-grip walnut with an uncheckered carbine fore-end, it retains the steel carbine-style curved buttplate. Length of pull measures 12.75 inches. The blued finish on the receiver and barrel presents well, consistent with the rifle’s overall very good condition.

Authentic factory markings include Winchester WP oval proofs on both the barrel and receiver ring. Barrel rollmarks read: "MODEL 92 - WINCHESTER - 25-20 W.C.F. - TRADE MARK -" and "MADE IN U.S.A. WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO. NEW HAVEN, CONN." This carbine configuration does not have a saddle ring and retains the standard finger lever, reflecting a clean, utilitarian setup from the interwar period.
