What’s Included
- Winchester Model 92 Saddle Ring Carbine in .44-40 Win (1926)
Built on the dual vertical locking-bolt system derived from the Model 1886, this Model 92 retains the strength and smooth cycling that define the design. It uses top ejection and a right-side loading gate, true to the carbine’s original configuration.
The carbine wears a 20 in round barrel secured by two barrel bands and feeds from a full-length tubular magazine with a stated 10-round capacity. Sighting is via a front blade and a folding, elevation-adjustable carbine ladder rear sight with a slider.
Factory markings include the barrel legend "MODEL 92 – WINCHESTER – 44 W.C.F. – TRADE MARK" and the upper tang stamp "WINCHESTER / TRADE MARK / MADE IN U.S.A." The left receiver wall carries the saddle ring, as expected for this configuration.
Stock furniture is the classic straight-grip, uncheckered carbine stock with a steel carbine buttplate, paired with a carbine-length wood fore-end. The rifle has a spurred hammer and a length of pull measuring 12.75 in.
