This Shadow 2 Compact is a recent CZ release that brings the proven Shadow 2 lineage into a carryable size with an optics-ready slide, a forged aluminum alloy frame, and a cold hammer-forged 4 in barrel. It retains the CZ-75 family slide-in-frame design, ambidextrous manual safety, and tuned ergonomics, all backed by clean Czech proofing and CZ-USA import marks.
The pistol features a long, flat-topped slide with a longitudinal rib, front and rear serrations, and dovetailed iron sights with a red fiber-optic front and a height-adjustable rear. Controls include a reversible, height-adjustable magazine release and an external ring-style hammer. Matching serial numbers are present on the frame, slide, and barrel.

The Shadow 2 Compact uses a DA/SA hammer-fired action with a curved, polished trigger and a hammer safety notch. An ambidextrous manual thumb safety supports bilateral operation. The forged aluminum alloy frame includes frontstrap and backstrap checkering, an extended beavertail, and an accessory rail with three slots on the dustcover.
The slide is cut for optics and fitted with a cover plate secured by Torx screws. The interface is compatible with the Shadow 2 OR mounting system, allowing a direct path to mounting supported pistol optics when desired. Until then, the factory iron sights—red fiber-optic front and height-adjustable rear—provide a clear, precise sight picture.
Barrel construction is steel with cold hammer-forged rifling for durability. The compact 4 in length balances control and portability, and the slide-in-frame architecture typical of the CZ-75 family promotes a low bore axis feel.
Markings and origin details include a CZ-USA, Hartford, CT import mark and a Czech proof/inspection mark with '25' near the ejection port. The pistol ships with a 15+1 capacity on board and includes one 15-round steel magazine with witness holes.
