Ruger-era manufacture is marked by the RM-prefix and Mayodan, NC barrel address, tying this rifle to the current Marlin production period in the United States. Side ejection with a right-side loading gate and the round bolt maintain the familiar 336 handling while accommodating the installed top rail.
The Classic series walnut stock shows cut checkering, a pistol-grip with cap medallion, the red-white bullseye inlay, a rubber recoil pad, and sling swivel studs. Length of pull is 13.5 in, providing a comfortable shoulder fit for a full-size lever gun.
Sighting is set up for fast alignment via the ghost-ring rear built into the rail and a ramped front blade. The receiver is steel and blued, drilled and tapped, and currently fitted with the full-length rail. One barrel band and a full-length magazine tube complete the traditional 336 profile.
Chambered in .30-30 with a 20 in barrel and a 6+1 capacity, this lever-action includes a cross-bolt safety for straightforward operation. The rifle retains the standard centered, checkered hammer spur; no offset extension is installed.
