Winchester Model 65 .218 Bee Lever-Action Rifle — 24 inch Round Barrel, 1942 Production
This Winchester Model 65 in .218 Bee is a 1942-production, top-eject lever action built on the Model 1892 short action. The .218 Bee configuration uses the catalog-standard 24 inch round Winchester Proof Steel barrel with a button magazine. It retains period-correct iron sights, a factory drilled-and-tapped receiver for a peep sight on the left side, and a walnut pistol-grip stock with checkering and a steel shotgun-style buttplate. Production of the Model 65 was comparatively limited and is of collector interest.

Built on the Winchester Model 1892 short action, the Model 65 delivers smooth top-eject operation in a solid-frame (non-takedown) configuration. Chambered in .218 Bee, this example follows the cataloged setup with a 24 inch round barrel and a button magazine. Capacity is 4+1.
The barrel is Winchester Proof Steel and is fitted with a hooded ramp front sight and an elevator-adjustable, barrel-mounted open rear sight. The receiver's left side is factory drilled and tapped to accept a receiver peep sight.
Stocking is classic Winchester walnut with a pistol-grip profile, checkering on the grip and forend, and a steel, checkered shotgun-style buttplate. Sling swivels are installed.
Produced in 1942 in the United States, this WWII-era Model 65 was serialized within the Model 1892 range. The Model 65's comparatively limited production adds to its collector appeal, especially in the .218 Bee chambering.
