Husqvarna m/38 Swedish Mauser Short Rifle, 6.5x55, 24 inch Barrel, 1943 WWII-Era, Blued Finish
This 1943 Husqvarna m/38 is a Swedish Mauser short rifle built during WWII and marked "HUSQVARNA VAPENFABRIKS AKTIEBOLAG" on the receiver. It features the m/96-type small-ring, cock-on-close action, a 24 inch steel barrel with threaded muzzle and slotted protector, and the distinctive brass stock disk. Bore Overall Condition: Good - Clean, well-maintained, minor wear marks.

The bolt has a straight handle and appears to be a non-original/mismatched m/96-pattern bolt.
What’s Included
- Husqvarna m/38 bolt-action rifle chambered in 6.5x55 Swedish
Built by Husqvarna in Sweden and dated 1943, this rifle uses a wartime m/38 receiver; however, it is fitted with a straight-handled bolt of m/96 pattern (non-original/mismatched for HVA m/38 new-production). The receiver is factory-marked "HUSQVARNA VAPENFABRIKS AKTIEBOLAG," and the rifle retains its classic Swedish Mauser profile with an in-the-white bolt and blued steel components.
The action is the m/96-type small-ring Mauser, cock-on-close, with a three-position wing safety and a two-stage trigger. Feeding is from a fixed 5-round internal magazine, and a hinged floorplate with front latch allows easy unloading.
The 24 inch steel barrel includes a threaded muzzle with a slotted protector designed for training attachments. Sighting is described in general terms as the traditional open-sight arrangement typical of the model.
The hardwood stock wears an oil finish and features a full-length profile with a finger groove, steel buttplate, and the brass stock disk used for bore and zero data. A left-side sling bar and rear sling swivel are fitted as issued. Length of pull measures 14.0 inches.
