The carbon-steel frame and cylinder wear a polished blue finish, complemented by a case-hardened hammer and trigger. The action is double-action/single-action with a smooth trigger, and the exposed spurred hammer supports confident cocking for single-action shots.
Functional details include a six-flute cylinder with star extractor, an unshrouded ejector rod with a knurled tip, and a large S&W sideplate logo. A butt-mounted lanyard ring is present.
