The forged stainless frame and slide are standard for the V-Bob line, paired here with a uniform bead-blasted stainless finish. The slide carries anti-glare longitudinal serrations on top along with rear GI-style serrations for traction. Left-side slide marking reads "Valor," and the right side is marked "DAN WESSON FIREARMS NORWICH, NY U.S.A."
Its match-grade 4.25 inch barrel uses a standard 1911 bushing and recoil plug, with the barrel hood marked "MATCH" and ".45ACP." This commander-length setup maintains 1911 handling with a compact slide and barrel profile.
Ergonomics are dialed in with a bobtail mainspring housing, checkered front strap, and a lightly beveled magazine well. Controls include an extended single-side thumb safety and a high-sweep beavertail grip safety with a memory pad. The hammer is a skeletonized commander-style, and the long skeletonized black trigger provides a consistent single-action pull.
Sights are dovetailed and straightforward: a fiber-optic front for visibility and a plain black rear ledge for a clean sight picture and robust one-handed manipulation. The grasp surfaces and grip treatment are practical, with gray/black textured G10 panels installed and an extra pair of black textured G10 panels included.
This .45 ACP 1911 runs a 7+1 capacity and ships with four 7-round magazines, including a mix of Chip McCormick Custom and EB-marked mags, plus a soft zip case and factory manual.
