The FN Herstal TSR XP in .308 Win combines a compact 20 in heavy, fluted, cold-hammer-forged barrel with a Model 70–derived controlled-round-feed action. It features a forged, flat-bottom receiver with an integral recoil lug, an OD green synthetic stock with a full-length aluminum bedding block, and a factory-installed one-piece MIL-STD-1913 optics rail secured by oversized 8-40 screws. The rifle feeds from a detachable 4-round steel magazine.

The heavy 20 in barrel is cold-hammer-forged, fluted, free-floated, and finished with a recessed target crown. It uses a 1:12 RH twist to pair with .308 Win loads. The configuration emphasizes rigidity and thermal management in a compact length.
The action is Model 70–derived with a controlled-round-feed claw extractor and blade ejector. It is built on a forged, flat-bottom receiver with an integral recoil lug and a matte black finish. A three-position safety and an adjustable three-lever trigger provide user control over operation and pull weight.
The OD green synthetic stock integrates a full-length aluminum bedding block for stability. Textured panels offer grip, and sling swivel studs and a recoil pad are installed. Length of pull is 14.0 in, and the grip cap bears the FN oval medallion.
A one-piece MIL-STD-1913 optics rail is factory mounted with oversized 8-40 screws. The rifle uses a detachable steel box magazine with a 4+1 capacity. Overall length is about 40.5 in, and weight is about 8.8 lb.
Made in the United States, this TSR XP shows a matte black and gray finish. The receiver is marked "FN TACTICAL SPORT RIFLE" with serial FN31371, while "FNH USA Fredericksburg VA" is roll-stamped on the barrel shank.
