This Marlin Model 39A Golden from the Original Golden-39A series is a 1980-produced lever-action rimfire with classic blued steel and walnut. It features a 24-inch Micro-Groove barrel, a two-piece takedown design, and a pre–cross-bolt-safety configuration. A USA-marked Weaver V-22A steel-tube rimfire scope is installed, adding ready-to-use utility while preserving the rifle’s period-correct character. A clamp-on hammer spur extension is installed on the hammer to aid access when using the scope.

Built on the Original Golden-39A platform, this rifle combines a blued steel receiver and a 24-inch steel barrel rollmarked for Micro-Groove rifling. The serial prefix 20 indicates 1980 production, aligning with the pre–cross-bolt-safety configuration and factory-drilled-and-tapped receiver.
Chambered for .22 Short, .22 Long, and .22 Long Rifle, it feeds from a full-length tubular magazine with a knurled magazine plug and offers a 20+1 capacity with .22 LR. The lever action is paired with a two-piece takedown system using a large receiver takedown screw for convenient transport and maintenance.
The walnut furniture includes a pistol-grip stock with a fluted comb, a white-line spacer, and a black Marlin-logo buttplate, matched to a beavertail fore-end. A gold-finished trigger and a 13.25-inch length of pull round out the handling and visual details.
