This Smith & Wesson Model 500 is a large X-Frame, five-shot revolver chambered in .500 S&W Magnum with an 8 3/8 inch heavy barrel. It features a factory muzzle compensator, barrel porting, and a full underlug, all in a durable satin stainless finish. A top-strap scope/optic rail is installed and the adjustable rear sight has been removed to accommodate the rail. It comes with a black nylon flap holster.

Built on S&W's robust X-Frame, this Model 500 pairs a stainless steel frame and cylinder with an 8 3/8 inch heavy-profile barrel. The five-shot fluted cylinder, full underlug, and open-channel ejector rod shroud underscore the revolver’s purpose-built design for the .500 S&W Magnum cartridge.
The barrel assembly is equipped with porting and a factory muzzle compensator, working in tandem with the heavy profile to manage the powerful chambering. The satin stainless finish on the frame, cylinder, and barrel offers a clean, uniform appearance.
The front sight arrangement is the standard configurable style for this model, and the factory adjustable rear sight has been removed to fit the installed top-strap scope/optic rail. The top strap is drilled and tapped from the factory, and the rail provides a solid mounting surface for a scope or red dot should the buyer choose to add one.
The revolver operates in double-action/single-action with an exposed, checkered hammer spur. It includes S&W’s keyed internal lock and is fitted with the standard S&W/Hogue rubber Monogrip for the X-Frame, featuring molded S&W logos in the rubber (no separate metal medallions) for a secure hold.
Factory markings include “MOD 500” on the yoke cut, “S&W 500” on the frame, and barrel rollmarks “SMITH & WESSON” and “500 S&W MAGNUM.” Made in the United States, this configuration highlights the Model 500’s hallmark features: a long, heavy barrel, compensator, and an installed optic rail for enhanced versatility.
