This Colt Defender Night is a TALO distributor-exclusive, short-run variant produced in 2009. It combines a carbon-steel slide with a lightweight alloy frame and a 3" bushingless bull barrel for a compact 1911 package. Marked Series 90, it features a Series 80 firing-pin block, and this example comes with six 7-round Officer-size magazines, the factory box and manual, and both Herrett Extra Fancy Cocobolo grips (installed) and the OEM panels. The NDF-prefix serial range identifies this limited production run.

This Night Defender is a TALO exclusive configured as a compact .45 ACP 1911 with a 3" bushingless bull barrel and 7+1 capacity. It is a limited, short-run model identified by the NDF-prefix serial range and factory identifiers O7000NDF/07000NDF.
The build pairs a carbon-steel slide with a lightweight alloy frame, delivering a carry-size configuration with rear cocking serrations only and a lowered/flared ejection port. The barrel hood is marked "- COLT 45 AUTO -".
Controls and fire control components include a skeletonized three-hole trigger and a Commander-style skeletonized hammer. It is single-action only with a single-side thumb safety and a beavertail grip safety with memory pad. Although rollmarked Series 90, it uses a Series 80 firing-pin block.
Sight setup consists of low-mount dovetailed 3-dot sights with a drift-adjustable rear. Frame treatment includes a smooth front strap with a vertically serrated mainspring housing.
This example comes well-outfitted with six Officer-size steel magazines, the original Colt factory box and manual, and both the installed Herrett Extra Fancy Cocobolo grips and the OEM grip panels.
