This SP101 is a double-action-only, spurless-hammer Ruger built in 2021 with a 2.25 in stainless steel barrel and a five-shot fluted cylinder. It features all-stainless construction with a satin/brushed finish, fixed sights with a pinned front blade, and Ruger’s triple-locking cylinder. Chambered in .357 Magnum, it also accepts .38 Special, including +P.

The DAO configuration with a spurless (bobbed) hammer and a smooth-face trigger provides a clean double-action stroke. Fixed sights consist of an integral rear trench and a replaceable, pinned ramp front blade.
The 2.25 in stainless barrel uses a full-length underlug/ejector shroud, and the fluted five-shot cylinder is secured by Ruger’s triple-locking system. A counterbored star extractor aids consistent ejection.
Construction is all stainless steel with a satin/brushed finish across the frame, cylinder, and barrel. Factory rubber grips with polished wood insert panels include Ruger medallions.
Chambered in .357 Magnum, this revolver also accepts .38 Special ammunition, including +P. It incorporates Ruger’s transfer-bar safety system and was made in the USA. Manufacturer part number is 5720.
