The Springfield Armory 1911 DS Prodigy 4.25 AOS is a compact, double-stack 9mm built on a forged steel receiver with a polymer grip module and a 4.25 inch bushingless bull, match-grade barrel. This example includes the Agency Optic System steel adapter plate installed, co-witness-height iron sights, and three factory double-stack magazines. It shows honest handling while retaining a bright, clean bore.

This 4.25 inch Prodigy uses a forged stainless steel, bushingless bull, match-grade barrel paired with a full-length guide rod to deliver the compact DS configuration in 9mm Luger. The forged steel receiver is finished in black Cerakote and matched to a textured wraparound polymer grip module.
The slide wears a black Cerakote finish with front and rear cocking serrations and the Agency Optic System interface. A steel AOS plate is installed and marked with the Agency Arms logo. Co-witness-height iron sights include a green fiber-optic front and a serrated black rear.
As a double-stack 1911, the DS Prodigy offers high on-board capacity with three factory magazines included: 17-, 20-, and 26-round. The listed capacity is 26+1 with the extended magazine. Factory magazines are steel and shown with a mix of flush-fit, extended, and extra-extended baseplates.
Controls are familiar and feature-rich: single-action-only operation, an ambidextrous manual thumb safety, and a beavertail grip safety. A skeletonized three-hole trigger and rowel-style skeletonized hammer are standard. An accessory rail on the dustcover supports weapon-mounted lights or similar rail-mounted accessories.
Slide and receiver markings include “PRODIGY,” “DS,” “SPRINGFIELD ARMORY,” and “SI GENESEO IL USA.” The pistol is made in the USA and is part of the current Prodigy series.
