The Hellion uses a short-stroke gas piston with a 2-position adjustable regulator for normal or suppressed use. Its ejection is reversible without tools, and the rifle provides fully ambidextrous controls, including the safety, charging handle, magazine release, and bolt release.
The 16 inch barrel is cold hammer-forged from 4150 CMV steel, treated with Melonite, and has a 1:7 twist. It is threaded 1/2x28 and fitted with a 3-prong flash hider.
A full-length T-marked Picatinny top rail runs the length of the receiver, and the polymer handguard integrates M-LOK slots. The rifle includes integrated flip-up iron sights with a hooded, elevation-adjustable front post and a 5-position, windage-adjustable diopter rear drum.
The bullpup chassis is polymer with a black finish and a 5-position adjustable length of pull plus a cheek riser. It accepts AR-pattern magazines and has a stated capacity of 30+1.
Manufactured by HS Produkt in Croatia, this rifle bears HS Produkt and Made in Croatia markings along with the Springfield Armory Geneseo, IL import mark.
