This rifle is built on a pre-1964 Winchester Model 70 receiver marked "WINCHESTER TRADE MARK" and features the classic controlled-round-feed system with a non-rotating claw extractor and a hinged floorplate. The internal box magazine holds 3+1 rounds.
The barrel is not original to the rifle; it has been rebarreled to .257 Weatherby Magnum with a Weatherby-marked "Chrome Bore" 28-inch sporter-contour barrel. This upgrade delivers the high-velocity .257 Wby. Mag. chambering on a sought-after pre-64 action.
A radial-ported muzzle brake with a flared blast collar is fitted at the threaded muzzle. No barrel-mounted iron sights are observed, giving the long barrel a clean profile.
The walnut one-piece sporter stock shows cut checkering on the forend panels and a smooth pistol grip/wrist, complemented by sling swivels and a steel checkered buttplate. Controls include the three-position wing safety and an adjustable trigger. Length of pull measures 13.5 inches. Made in the United States.
