The 5.25-inch threaded barrel is factory-cut and includes a knurled thread protector. Slide manipulation is aided by front and rear cocking serrations.
Controls are traditional P-series: DA/SA operation with a decocking lever, plus slide catch and takedown lever. The external spur hammer provides clear visual and tactile confirmation. The single-stack design offers an 8+1 capacity in .45 ACP.
Sights are 3-dot iron types with a dovetailed front blade marked "MEP AL" and a dovetailed fixed rear. Markings include "P220 Elite" on the right side of the slide, "SIG SAUER" on the left, ".45 Auto" on the barrel hood, and an Exeter-NH-USA frame marking, underscoring its U.S. origin and P220 Elite identity.
