Made at Izhevsk Arsenal and marked 1942g on the receiver, this M91/30 represents wartime Soviet production. Arsenal and inspection stamps are present, including the Izhevsk triangle-with-arrow and additional Soviet proofs. The stock bears the square-with-diagonal refurbishment cartouche, and the rear barrel band shows a triangle inspection mark. The importer is TG Knox TN, with the import mark 'TG KNOX TN 91/30 7.62x54 RUSSIA' on the rifle.
The rifle follows the classic M91/30 configuration: a round receiver, straight bolt handle with a knurled cocking knob, and a 29-inch barrel. It wears a blued finish over steel components. The hardwood stock has a shellac-type finish and includes grasping grooves, through-sling slots, and a separate upper handguard secured by two spring-retained barrel bands.
The iron sighting system consists of a hooded front post and a tangent rear sight with a sliding leaf. Sight graduations are in meters, consistent with Soviet service pattern sights of the period.
Chambered in 7.62x54R, this rifle uses a stripper-clip fed fixed internal magazine with a hinged floorplate and a 5+1 capacity. The length of pull measures 13.25 inches. The bore is bright and clean, and the rifling is well-defined, aligning with the condition notes.
