This carbine retains hallmark pre-64 features: a top-eject receiver, right-side loading gate, two barrel bands, and a full-length tubular magazine with a 6-round capacity. The 20 in round steel barrel is marked "WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL" and "NEW HAVEN, CONN. U.S. OF AMERICA".
Sighting equipment includes a hooded ramp front sight and a semi-buckhorn rear sight with an elevator. The receiver’s left wall is drilled and tapped for a receiver (aperture) sight, and plug screws are currently installed.
The rifle is finished in blued steel with a straight-grip walnut stock and walnut carbine forend. It wears a steel shotgun-style buttplate and has sling hardware installed. Length of pull measures 13.0 in.
Factory Winchester WP proof marks are present on both the barrel and the receiver ring. Built in the United States during the 1940s, this carbine represents the classic Winchester Model 94 configuration in .25-35 Winchester.
