The M77 Hawkeye action uses a right-hand bolt with an external non-rotating claw extractor and a three-position safety, delivering controlled-round-feed function and positive extraction. This example is the long-action configuration with a 3+1 internal box magazine and a hinged steel floorplate bearing the Ruger eagle logo.
The 24-inch blued steel sporter barrel is fitted with an aftermarket multi-port muzzle brake to help moderate recoil and muzzle rise. There are no open sights, and the receiver has Ruger’s integral dovetail scope bases machined in for a solid, low-profile mounting interface.
The walnut stock features a pistol grip, cut checkering for secure handling, sling swivel studs, and a grip cap with the Ruger medallion. An aftermarket Limbsaver recoil pad sets the length of pull at approximately 13.0 inches and adds comfort for extended range sessions or field use.
Made in the United States, this Hawkeye is finished in a uniform blued treatment over its steel barrel and receiver. Chambered in .338 Winchester Magnum, it offers proven big-game performance in a classic, dependable platform.
