The PPQ 45 M2 pairs a striker-fired, short-recoil, locked-breech system with Walther's Quick Defense trigger and integrated tabbed safety blade. The M2 configuration uses a left-side push-button magazine release and ambidextrous slide stop levers for straightforward handling.
The 4.25 in steel barrel uses polygonal rifling with a 1:16 twist. The barrel, slide, and internal parts are Tenifer treated for excellent surface hardening and corrosion resistance. The slide includes front and rear cocking serrations along with longitudinal top serrations for positive manipulation.
Ergonomics are anchored by the polymer frame with PPQ Hi-Grip texturing and interchangeable backstraps. A molded 3-slot Picatinny accessory rail is integrated into the dust cover. Capacity is 10+1, and this example comes with three factory 10-round magazines.
Sights are dovetailed units with a front post and a rear notch. Markings and proofs include DE CIP N cluster, the Ulm antler proof, "BH" date code, "MADE IN GERMANY," "WALTHER ARMS FORT SMITH, AR," and "CARL WALTHER ULM/DO." These confirm German manufacture with Walther's Ulm proofing.
