The 16-inch 5.56 NATO barrel is made from 4140 steel, treated with Armornite/QPQ, and threaded to accept the included A2 birdcage flash suppressor. It uses a 1:9 twist and a carbine-length gas system with a direct-impingement operating system.
Forged 7075-T6 aluminum receivers with hard-coat anodizing provide a durable foundation. The flat-top upper includes a Picatinny rail, forward assist, case deflector, and ejection-port dust cover. A fixed A2 front sight base with bayonet lug and sling swivel is retained.
This example is customized with a Magpul MOE M-LOK carbine-length polymer handguard. The lower is configured with a 6-position collapsible M4-style stock bearing the S&W logo and an A2-style pistol grip. A manual safety selector is present. The rifle uses a STANAG magazine system with a 30+1 capacity.
Optics and accessories are installed and ready to use: a 4-12x50EG variable scope sits on a Picatinny riser, a miniature reflex sight is piggybacked above the scope, and a tubular laser is mounted to the scope body. The flat-top rail layout supports this configuration cleanly.
