The Model 783 is configured as a long action for .30-06 and feeds from a detachable box magazine with a 4+1 capacity. Its 22-inch round sporter barrel is button-rifled carbon steel with a plain muzzle, providing a balanced, field-ready profile in a full-size format.
The synthetic stock is matte black with molded texturing at the wrist and forend for a positive hold. It is pillar-bedded and free-floated to support consistent barrel harmonics, and it has a 13.5-inch length of pull for a straightforward fit.
Remington equips this rifle with a user-adjustable, single-stage trigger featuring an integral blade safety. A two-position safety and a cocked indicator provide clear status at a glance. The action uses a barrel-nut headspacing system and a separate bolt-head assembly.
The matte gray carbon steel receiver is drilled and tapped and currently fitted with two-piece bases and rings. A variable-power 3-9x40mm scope with a 1-inch tube and a duplex reticle is mounted, and flip-up lens caps are included. The rifle has no iron sights. The barrel bears a Mayfield, KY stamp, and the rifle is made in the United States.
