The PDA is a micro-size 1911 configured with Para's LDA (light double-action) system. It uses a spurless LDA hammer, a left-side magazine release, and retains 1911-style thumb and grip safeties for familiar handling in a compact package.
Its 3-inch barrel is bushingless with a cone profile and a MATCH-marked chamber hood, designed for tight lockup. The chamber hood is marked '9MM PARA', and the slide carries rollmarks 'Para X LDA' on the left and 'PDA' on the right.
Sighting is handled by fixed tritium night sights, including a Trijicon front sight marked 'H3 09' and a dovetailed tritium rear. The slide has diagonal rear serrations for traction.
External finishing is two-tone: stainless slide flats with a matte black top, paired with a black frame. The wood grip panels use a hex texture and feature 'PDA' letters. Markings include 'MADE IN CANADA' and 'PARA USA INC. FT. LAUDERDALE FL.' Capacity is 6+1 with the included single-stack magazines.
