Built in forged stainless steel, the frame and barrel present semi-bright flats with a glare-reducing matte topstrap and vented rib. The full underlug, knurled ejector rod, and six-shot cylinder reflect the classic Python profile with the strength updates of the 2020 Series.
The sighting system combines a screw-adjustable black square-notch rear with an interchangeable ramp front sight retained by a #4-40 screw. This user-swappable setup makes front sight changes straightforward while maintaining a solid, repeatable fit.
The revolver runs in double-action/single-action with an exposed hammer. The modern Python’s reinforced frame/topstrap architecture is part of the current-series design, and this 2.5-inch configuration keeps overall length to 8.0 inches with a factory-listed weight of 39 ounces.
