The 18-inch barrel is chrome-moly-vanadium steel, cold-hammer-forged, chrome-lined, and cut in the Daniel Defense S2W profile with a 1:7 twist. It is threaded and fitted with the Daniel Defense Muzzle Climb Mitigator multi-port brake. The rifle-length gas system complements the barrel setup for consistent performance.
The Daniel Defense MFR 15.0 free-float handguard is 6061-T6 aluminum with M-LOK slots at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock and a continuous T-marked Picatinny top rail. It does not have integrated QD sling sockets; a QD sling requires an M-LOK QD adapter. Rail length is 15.0 inches, providing ample mounting space.
Controls are ambidextrous where it matters: safety selector and charging handle. The Geissele SD-3G flat-faced trigger delivers a clean, competition-oriented pull. The rifle includes a collapsible stock and a Daniel Defense pistol grip.
Receivers are 7075-T6 aluminum with a Type III hard-coat anodized finish. Markings include "DDM4V7 PRO" with Daniel Defense Black Creek, GA on the receiver, "5.56" on the upper receiver near the ejection port, and "5.56 NATO 1/7" on the barrel. The rifle accepts STANAG-pattern AR-15 magazines and has a capacity of 30+1 with the included magazines.
Factory front and rear iron sights are installed, along with a short vertical foregrip and an M-LOK-to-Picatinny rail section. This rifle is made in the United States.
